Baguio

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I don't know what it is lately but I've gotten too lazy to leave my comfy bed and my comfy office to go out. Is it a sign of old age? Visiting the relaxing "summer" capital of Baguio at the height of my lethargy was unusual. Reminded me that a cool breeze and fresh air away from the "distractions" of the city does a body good. Its just great to clear your head for a little bit and just enjoy everything around you. I should get out more often...I wish I could afford a real vacation though. I loved the pine trees, the flowers and cold weather. But nothing beats the beach. Or Italy. i did get to practice using my new digicam so that was alright. Although it made my mouth water more for artistic photos of Greek ruins. Sigh...someday.

Random Thoughts

"You think I'm not me, don't you? But I am me, really. There are other people who think they're me, but they know, in their heads, that they aren't me. Even some boys think they're me. But I'm me. Usually I'm apart, but sometimes I'm together...I can do it when I need to..."

- Delirium of the Endless

The way I see me and the way others see me are two different things. Same with the way I see others and they see themselves. Its amazing how life's textures are so rich that way.Take for instance the personal warpath I've been on for the past year. Admittedly its my fault for having such a vivid imagination. A lot of things I expected don't live up to reality. But isn't it great when things just exceed expectations? Guess thats why I've been having loads of fun.I was just surpised that some people I viewed to be a certain way, to my great amazement, turned out not to be that way. And how some people believe I'm a certain person, but their views are 180 degrees apart from each other. And its been so crazy---I've never felt myself to be as impulsive and irresponsible as I've been now, on the other hand, I feel decidedly old, indifferent and mature as well. But I think the full moon's gone now, its back to reality. Then again, I always say that ^^

Question: have you understood anything I've just said?

Dreams

"People think dreams aren't real because they aren'y made of matter, or particles. Dreams are REAL. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes..."

- Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" Vol. V

Just the other day my childhood friend popped up from nowhere and told me she had a clear and vivid dream about me. I haven't been able to talk to her yet but I do wonder what it was about. Sometimes I believe that dreams are prophetic. Or they reverse the prophecy (what you dream about won't happen!). Its amazing how dreams work. How they take something buried in your subconscious or floating around in your head and turn it into full-blown technicolor imagery. Or at least my dreams are full-color and surround sound. When I hear about people who dream in black and white or don't dream at all, I think they must be missing a lot. There are time I get so involved in my dreams I find it hard to wake up. Especially that one with the full romantic moon and that guy...

Oh, the other week I dreamt we entered Ragnarok into the Anvil and Agora awards. Its funny how dreams reminds us of things sometimes. I started looking up the PRSP and PMA sites. I think we have a fighting chance next year. And I've always dreamt of winning an industry award.
