Lucky

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Just in case I didn't quite get how lucky I am, God gave me another break in the form of a day-trip to the gorgeous Pearl Farm resort in Samal Island, Davao. The sun, the sand, the cool blue waters and the great buffet made me wish it was more than just a day trip. But then its the little breaths of fresh air that are better appreciated.

Plus another long weekend break soon after coupled with the promise of finally getting over my credit card debt (waaah!) made me wonder why the hell I've been spinning in circles for some time now. Hello, wake up and smell the sea breeze!

My family--- it changes from day to day but looks like everyone's at the best health they could be right now. My friends--- they're like my second family.
My work--- yes its drudgery sometimes but it always takes me somewhere new, which is something I hoped my work could give me since the grind of the last one almost did me in. I live a comfortable life and wallow in luxury VERY briefly but at least I can do that sometimes.

There's also the promise of where I can go from here. So many possibilities.

Thank you!

Carpe Diem

Saw a beautiful rainbow today right over the Makati skyline. Took a photo with my phone then ran up to my office to get my digicam.

Life lesson no.1: The elevator took forever. Truly when you expect something quickly sometimes it takes forever to arrive. Hey but at least it gets there eventually!

Life lesson no.2: By the time I got back to the rooftop restaurant, the rainbow was gone. Rainbows are fleeting, you have to take advantage before it disappears forever.

Life lesson no.3: The time it took to get my camera was kind of a while. Always better to come prepared!
